Confirm the language arrangement for the exact appointment. Website language, customer-care language, clinical communication and the language of a final report are separate questions.
Ask about the people involved
- Will the booked clinician consult in your preferred language?
- If an interpreter is needed, who arranges one and is it included in the quote?
- Does the interpreter cover registration, the consultation and any later discussion, or only one stage?
- Is language support available on the appointment date and for any follow-up call?
Jiahui's International Office explicitly advertises professional interpreters. Confirm the requested language, availability and charge with that team. Beijing United Family documents an EN Service customer-care chat option; this alone does not establish the clinical language of a consultation. These are different types of support.
Ask what the hospital needs from you
Request a list of relevant documents and accepted languages before paying for translations. Ask about file formats, whether original reports are needed, and how records should be sent. A request for a summary does not automatically mean every document must be translated or certified.
Plan what you need afterwards
Ask whether consultation notes, test reports, discharge summaries and itemized invoices can be provided in English or another required language. For imaging, ask about the available digital format and collection method. Confirm any translation, copying, media or delivery charge.
Jiahui advertises medical-report preparation, but the reviewed page does not establish that every report is in English. This directory therefore leaves English-report capability unconfirmed. The checklist helps you request a specific arrangement; it does not state that every listed hospital provides it.
Keep names consistent
When the hospital requests identification, check how your name will appear on the appointment and the records. Ask the receiving hospital or clinician at home which records and formats they require for later review.
